Brandon Tripp, MS, LMHCA, CDP, MAC, SAP :: Owner at Catalyst Counseling & Consulting PLLC

Mental Health Counselor and Addiction Recovery Services Provider:

US Department of Transportation Substance Abuse Professional

Welcome to Catalyst Counseling and Consulting Services!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. I have additional licensure as a Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP), Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), and Qualified & Trained Federal Department of Transportation Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).  I provide individual, couples, and family counseling services for adolescents and adults, consultation, and DOT SAP evaluations. I also facilitate trainings, workshops, psycho-educational groups, and support groups.

I have over 17 years of experience as a mental health counselor and substance abuse professional treating clients with a range of diagnoses, while maintaining a broad professional network with other providers throughout Washington, the United States, and Canada.

I have worked in the field of addiction and mental health with adults and adolescents in intensive inpatient hospital settings, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and independent practice settings.  My roles have included individual and group counselor, treatment coordinator, clinical task supervisor, lecturer, recovery coach, and consultant.

I am originally from the southern region of United States, but grew up and went to school all over the world, and I am still proud to be called a "military brat." After living in Colorado for nearly two decades, my family and I made our way through the northwest finally landing in Washington State, and have called Seattle home since 2008.

Growing up as somewhat of a global nomad has contributed to my acceptance of different perspectives, my ability to be a keen observer of human nature, and my understanding that there’s a reason driving every attitude and behavior – no matter how strange it may seem. My southern sensibility combined with my multi-faceted outlook on the world also makes me a natural mediator.

Preceding my career as a professional counselor, I worked for the U.S. Department of State, in top 25 technology companies, with athletes and sports franchises as a personal trainer, and as a teacher/instructor with students ranging in age from middle school through university. I am also a musician, photographer, and poet who enjoys hobbies such as martial arts training, land paddling, and snowboarding.

My personal and professional experiences continually reinforce my desire to ensure that all my clients feel equally cared for no matter how they identify.  All are welcome.
